What is a Fractional Laser?
Fractional laser is a general term for a ‘fragmented treatment method’
that irradiates a laser beam by splitting it into tiny points.
Unlike past methods that peeled off the entire skin, it is an innovative scar
and pore treatment that accelerates recovery and minimizes side effects
by creating microscopic holes on the skin surface
to induce regeneration while leaving surrounding normal tissue intact.

Treatment information

Treatment time
Approximately 5 minutes (excluding the time
for ointment anesthesia)

downtime
3 to 7 days
(varies depending on the individual)

anesthesia
Anesthetic ointment
(combined with local
anesthesia if necessary)

Maintenance period
3 to 5 times or more
(monthly intervals recommended)

Face wash/makeup
Face wash/makeup
Ablative Fraxel, Needle RF: Wash face after 4-5 hours
/ Apply makeup after 2-3 days
Non-ablative Fraxel: Wash face on the same day
/ Apply makeup starting the day after

effect
Fractional lasers address complex skin concerns by simultaneously caring
for both the surface and the inner layers of the skin.

skin elasticity

improve pores

Improved skin tone

Principles of Fractional Laser Treatment
Selection and Focus,
the Core of Fractional Lasers
The mosquito net theory, which creates tiny holes like a mosquito net to treat only a portion of the skin while leaving the rest as normal tissue.

STEP1
Micropore generation (MTZ)
The laser penetrates the skin in the form of
very fine pillars, like a mosquito net.

STEP2
Inducing natural regeneration
The area touched by the laser sustains microscopic damage and sends a regeneration signal.

STEP3
quick recovery
It helps the surrounding healthy normal skin unreached by the laser to grow new skin, maximizing the speed of wound healing.
Differences by Solution
Non-ablative
(Fraxel Dual)
Heat transfer without scraping the skin.
Rapid return to daily life.
Exfoliating
(CO2/Erbium YAG)
Precisely shaving off the skin directly
Powerful effect on deep scars.
Needle RF
(Silfirm X)
High-frequency delivery via micro-needles.
Simultaneously resolves redness, blemishes, and pores.

Treatment area
It can improve acne scars and overall pore size and texture, and provide intensive care
for prominent pores on the nose and cheeks.
It can also treat surgical scars or localized pitted scars.

Recommended candidates for fractional laser treatment
For those stressed about bumpy acne scars
For those who are concerned about noticeably enlarged pores every time they look in the mirror
For those who want to improve rough skin texture and dull skin tone simultaneously
For those concerned about increased fine lines due to loss of skin elasticity

Precautions for Fractional Laser Procedure

The fine scabs that form after Fraxel treatment are a “natural protective barrier” for the skin. Since you may unwittingly scratch or touch them, please never intentionally peel them off with your hands, and be careful not to let them fall off even when washing your face. Thoroughly applying regenerating cream and sunscreen determines 70% of the treatment results.
